SEO like a pro!

March 15, 2014

SEO or search engine optimization is a process of optimizing web content to give it visibility in the unpaid section of major search engines such as Google, Bing, or Yahoo. The further up on a search result page and the more frequently it appears the better. This translates to more potential visits to your website. Different kinds of search can be targeted. For instance, targeting your customers with videos can generate interest in your products. As stated in wikipedia:

As an Internet marketing strategy, SEO considers how search engines work, what people search for, the actual search terms or keywords typed into search engines and which search engines are preferred by their targeted audience. Optimizing a website may involve editing its content, HTML and associated coding to both increase its relevance to specific keywords and to remove barriers to the indexing activities of search engines. Promoting a site to increase the number of backlinks, or inbound links, is another SEO tactic.

Following is a well laid out article on the subject:

The Benefits Of SEO Vs. Paid Traffic

Namedotcom January 4, 2013

The lifeblood of any business that markets its products and services on the Internet is getting visitors to come to its web page.  In Internet marketing circles, this process is described simply as “getting traffic.” Once a business is getting traffic to its site, the owner or manager can make adjustments to make the traffic profitable.  A company whose revenue comes from selling large quantities of products, making an adjustment means finding the right set of products to sell. In other cases where the objective is to sign up as many clients as possible, an adjustment means enticing visitors to give the business their contact information.  Still in other cases where the goal is mainly branding, a company makes adjustments to get prospects and customers to share information from the site with their social network of friends.  But none of these adjustments can be made until there is a steady stream of traffic coming to the website.
